Here’s how we brought Taylors’ unique flavour to the rugby pitch, making every second of a limited shoot count.
Taylors Snacks were the first brand to get on board with Edinburgh Rugby’s player sponsorship package. Proud to be supporting the team’s Right Winger, Darcy Graham, they came to Lane for a bank of content that they could use throughout the year to promote the partnership and get some products front and centre.
With only a 45-minute slot to film the star, the team set up a shot list, obstacle-course style. We were able to capture a range of short clips and challenges featuring a whole line-up of the brand’s flavours – all featuring that Taylors sense of humour.
There was a tasty try, some taste testing, evasion practice and a few puns (we couldn’t resist). And after a swift right boot, we can report that crisps were harmed in the making of the films – all in the name of content.
A dual-branded lockup was created to hero the pairing and assets could be shared by either side of the partnership for ultimate reach whenever Darcy’s in action.
This was new territory for the team at Edinburgh Rugby. They were worried that the content may be too corporate, but we swiftly settled those concerns. Thrilled that the new partnership is off to an exciting start, the content has gone down a treat with fans during Darcy’s Six Nations appearances.
